It’s being reported today that supermarkets are being urged to stop selling outdoor patio heaters, due to their contribution to Global Warming.
Meanwhile, pubs are buying bigger/more powerful heaters in abundance, due to the smoking ban and patrons who refuse to stop smoking being forced outside.

And whilst I personally think the smoking ban advantageous for all, experts claim a single heater releases more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year than the average large 4×4 car. It is estimated that the heaters bought by pubs this year could produce up to 320,000 additional tons of carbon dioxide. So it looks like landlords need to find a new strategy to keep custom…
