We love this new little product that was featured on BBC 2’s Dragons’ Den. Boils an egg to the consistency you choose without water! By stretching heating elements over the egg as the lid of the cooker is closed James Seddon managed to achieve his objective of designing a “toaster for boiled eggs”.
And, of course, to be featured in this blog it has to have a green aspect to it… Well it claims to use a fraction of the energy of boiling - and it could well do, as boiling enough water to submerge an egg in is probably quite considerable.
Eggxactly even knows the egg’s size and whether it came from the fridge. Wow! We’re impressed!

Thank you for the entry. We hope this product will make cooking boiled eggs a bit easier and less “hit or miss”, and do a little bit to save energy too. It actually uses only 30Watts compared to the typical 2,000 Watt used with the pan and water method.
