The Sunday Times are currently collating entries for their Best Green Companies Awards.
The project is designed acknowledge and so publicise businesses and organisation who are trying to better their impact on the environment.
Anyone can nominate a company or organisation, from within the ranks or as an admiring outsider. If there’s someone you’d like to nominate, visit The Times Online.
The deadline for entries is February 29th, and once you’ve received your survey it must be filled in and returned by March 31st, ready for the winners to be announced in May 2008.
There are 5 categories is the competition:
- Large companies (more than 5,000 employees) and mid-sized companies (250-4,999 employees) operating in “high environmental impact sectors”.
- Large and mid-sized companies who operate in “medium impact sectors”.
- Large and mid-sized companies who operate in “low impact sectors”.
- Small companies (50-249 employees) who operate in “high and medium impact sectors”.
- Small companies who operate in “low impact sectors”.
