To be Carbon Neutral means that you emit no more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than extract from it. This would involve counterbalancing, or 'offsetting', your annual CO2 emissions by participating with Carbon Offset projects, such as shopping with us here at HotonEarth!

To calculate your annual CO2 emissions, many websites provide Carbon Offset Calculators to help you easily work out how to offset your emissions.

However, it is debatable as to whether you can ever be truly neutral, as helping another operation emit less CO2 (essentially what offsetting is - please read more about this in Carbon Offsetting) does not actually eradicate the carbon dioxide you have released into the environment. It is still, however, helping combat the problem of Global Warming in a society where consumerism and the use of technology is so widespread.
