Transport:
- Use public transport where possible, to cut down the amount of cars on the road.
- Enjoy England more and reduce your flights per year. Aviation is a major culprit in the rise of CO2 emissions.
- Get on your bike! Cycle that short journey rather than drive, to eliminate the emissions your car would be omitting.
- If you must drive, try finding a car share scheme in your area.
- Don't buy a fuel guzzling monster of a car!
- Use green fuels such as Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

At Home:
- Use energy saving light bulbs.
- Switch that hall light off! Only leave lights on where you need to.
- Boil only as much water as you need.
- Don't have more that 1 shower a day.
- Fill the washing machine each time you use it - don't do half loads.
- If possible and your clothes aren't too heavily soiled, wash at a low temperature such as 20)C. Some washing detergents claim to work particularly well at this temperature.
- Dry your clothes naturally rather than use a tumble dryer.
- When it's time to buy a new washing machine or fridge freezer, get one with an AAA efficiency rating.
- Switch to a green energy supplier - such as one who uses wind turbines, or fit solar panels to your property.
- Turn off electrical appliances completely, rather than leave them on standby. Go on, hide the remote and get up off the sofa!
- Turn down your central heating by 2-3 degrees, or reach for a jumper rather than using it at all if you don't really need to.
- Don't have a patio heater. As lovely as warm summer evenings outside are, these heaters are particularly bad for emissions.
- Use washing up water to water your plants and flowers.

Lifestyle:
- Eat locally sourced food, meaning a reduction in air miles.
- Try not to be too wasteful/consume too much. Everything in your wardrobe, or in each of your cupboards and drawers has had some kind of impact on the environment during its production.
